Jake

Jake didn't do anything. He was just sitting in a motel room, waiting for his friend Chris to show up with snacks. That was his entire involvement in the situation. He had no car, no plan, and no idea what was about to walk through that door.

When Sabrina arrived, Jake had exactly two reactions — confusion and appreciation, roughly in that order. He had questions. A lot of them. But somehow the evening moved faster than his ability to ask any.

Jake is the kind of guy who ends up in the right place at the right time without ever trying. While Chris at least had the nerve to make a move, Jake just sat there and got lucky anyway. Some people are built like that.
